Our CSR policy
We're all about action when it comes to our corporate and social responsibilities. Any chance we can get to flex our CSR muscles we’ll do it. Whether it’s planting trees through our involvement with the National Forest business benefit scheme or giving our staff up to three days additional leave per year to get involved with voluntary work, we take our CSR policy very seriously.
Our policy is three fold:
- to care for our environment
- to make a difference socially
- to work with like-minded organisations.
In 2008, we were tickled green when we became one of only 216 businesses to achieve Phase 3 of BS8555, a recognised British Standard for Environmental Management Systems. We’re 110% committed to managing our environmental impact, improving our environmental performance and keeping up to speed with new legislation. We’re always looking for ways to do more than just our bit and keen to hear your ideas on how we can develop our policy further!
Green commuters
Cycle, run, hop, skip or pogo-stick. However our team decides to travel into thankQ HQ, each time they choose an environmentally friendly mode of transport, we reward them for being ‘green commuters’ and donate a whole quid to one of two charities.
This year our positive action will support two Nottinghamshire organisations, Young Potential, a charity that works to improve the lives of young people living in areas of deprivation and Women's Aid, which supports women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
Other local charities who’ve received on average a hefty £848 from our Green Commuting scheme are The Carpenter's Arms, The Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, Loros, Sustrans, Framework, Vitalise and Groundwork Leicester & Leicestershire. This simple choice made every morning by our team really does make a big difference.
