Jewish Care is the first thankQ customer to go live with the thankQ mobile module. Jewish Care's Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Daniel Carmel-Brown tells us what he thinks

thankQ mobile is designed for those occasions when you or your team are away from the office and need to access contact data in thankQ. You can search for contacts and prospects, check on their location (and get directions), review communications, actions, events and income history, call or email, and log details of your communications with supporters as you are on the move directly into thankQ – all via your Smartphone.

‘It saves time, energy and the need for carrying big files everywhere’, says Jewish Care’s Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Daniel Carmel Brown, of the new thankQ mobile module.

Like many fundraising professionals, Daniel and his senior colleagues are often out meeting trustees, colleagues and high value donors - and for them, thankQ mobile has proved a valuable tool. Now, when asked for information about one of their thankQ contacts, Daniel no longer has to phone the office and ask a colleague to look up the information - he can find what he needs at the touch of a button. And with the details of over 106,000 supporters held in thankQ, this not only saves time and effort, but also improves accessibility.

The Jewish Care team ordered the thankQ mobile module in March 2011, and Daniel and his senior colleagues now use it at least twice a week, primarily to look up specific contact details and to view individuals’ income and communication histories.

Luckily the team already had their own Smartphones, so all they had to do was run up the mobile application, enter their username and password, and they were up and running!

When we asked Daniel what he liked about the mobile module, he told us ‘This is all I do. I don’t really need the full functionality of the thankQ system and so I like its simplicity. It’s easy on the eye precisely because it’s got less functionality’.

Smart technology has given us the opportunity to extend the reach of thankQ into new platforms, and as more and more customers begin to embrace mobile technology, we look forward to developing the module to meet the broad range of functions that our customers will require.
