Helping with projects and processes

Whether you’re processing membership renewals, organising a fundraising dinner, or planning a major appeal - thankQ has standard features that can also be configured for your needs to help take the pain out of the task. Templates range from membership reminder letters, seating plans or campaign diary plans which can all be personalised.

We've being doing this long enough to know these tasks aren't simple, and two organisations are rarely the same, but it's precisely because we've got so much experience that we can help.

CRM with a brain

Or at least a good degree of intelligence! When undertaking any of these processes, thankQ can guide you with what it already knows. thankQ will make sure renewal notices go to the right person at the right time. Rules can be applied to all communications, not only ensuring the obvious recipient preferences are handled appropriately, but also modifying the text of the communication based on your relationship with the contact.  And information from previous appeals can be drawn together to help refine your segmentation or tasks time after time.

It's almost like having an extra member of staff on board...

Your personal membership manager...

The membership tools in thankQ recognise that there are some very different types of membership out there, ranging from membership for the public for a charitable cause through to professional membership of Trade Unions and professional associations.

However, administering these comes down to some common themes around who pays (the member, gift membership, your employer), how do they pay (monthly, annual renewal, payroll deduction) and what do they get for their membership (mailings, benefits, discounts, voting eligibility, support and advice). The Membership module, combined with the self service website for the member to do this him/herself makes managing this as simple as possible. And because thankQ is a CRM system and not just a membership system, the rest of your organisation's relationship with each person completes a full picture, so you can treat your member like a real person, not an entry in a database.

your events manager...

All organisations are different and nowhere more so than when it comes to understanding what Events means to them. Conferences for members. Dinners for high value donors. Challenge events for enthusiastic volunteers. Paid or free. Accommodation and optional extras. Do you call them workshops or seminars? Oh, sessions. If events are important to you then its important to us that we talk about what you need and get it right for you. One size does not fit all.

thankQ's Events module is built around the common components of all of these - when? how much? who? - and from that point can be configured to make the process of inviting people and booking them on an event as easy for the user as possible. And of course, integration with the thankQ web portal turns this into one of the many self service features of the database.

and your fundraising appeals manager!

So the results of your last appeal are known, the income has been processed and the money raised is already being spent. Now which spreadsheet was that on? Each fundraising appeal or campaign is different and that makes it tricky to take the same approach each time - so software is great for managing donations, but nothing more. Or is it? Well how about analysing your segmentation from the last appeal - and reusing the effective ones? How about loading the timelines from last time, but this time giving the printers that extra week you always knew they needed? How about drawing in better knowledge of how the money was spent, and telling your donors this time?

We understand that each organisation takes a different approach to appeals. One of our earliest customers in the sector was Comic Relief, using thankQ to manage the celebrity and corporate input into each Red Nose Day. In summer 2010 Children in Need started using thankQ to support their annual telethon. Jewish Care and University of Edinburgh both push thankQ to deliver what they need throughout the year, including managing their annual Telethon appeal. And a project is underway with Disaters Emergency Committee to manage their huge influxes of donations. And it's not just about name dropping. Plenty of less well known organisations get the same support and attention from us to get the most out of thankQ. Like so much of what we offer, its about understanding and building a relationship.
